This is a new organisation of a bi-annual book, published in alternating years with the Family Law Legislation, which is currently in its 12th Edition. Family Law in New Zealand, 13th ed covers family law principles and application of legislation in an accurate, accessible, thorough manner. The text is based on the esteemed Family Law Service looseleaf and online material, and is current as at 14 November 2007. Readers who require more current information, can refer to or subscribe to the Family Law Service.
Contents cover the entire breadth of family law, but are organised to serve two different audiences: the students, and the wider practitioners of family law. The two volumes are now purchasable separately. Volume One (Academic Edition) provides the syllabus of the law school students. For lawyers, or for professional, policy, or research both volumes are required to make sound use of the law in practice.
