Nutshells are a series of books designed to present the essentials of law in clear, straightforward language. For more than 30 years, generations of students have regarded Nutshells as the ideal means of revising their subjects.

The new edition includes an extensively revised section on privacy, discussing the absence of a freestanding right to privacy in English law in the light of Douglas v. Hello. There is also a section on employment rights, including Wilson v. United Kingdom and Palmer v. United Kingdom, dealing with rights under Article 11 of the European Convention.
