This book has been designed as a tool to help candidates preparing to take the regularly-staged recruitment examinations known as the concours. The bulk of the book comprises 1,210 multiple choice questions and answers. These cover all aspects of the EU's history, institutions, policies, programmes and other topics that feature in the exams as well as sample verbal and numerical reasoning tests. The book also has practical advice on how the recruitment process works and how best to prepare for it. The new edition takes account of Bulgarian and Romanian accession on 1 January 2007, new EU programmes and other developments. The authors are lawyers working the EU institutions and have themselves taken the tests in recent years.
