This new handbook aims to demystify the process of child support for family practitioners. Written by acknowledged experts in the field, it will provide practical guidance on the changes introduced by the Child Maintenance Act 2008.

Its wide-ranging provisions seek to encourage parents to make their own maintenance arrangements and, where this is not possible, to strengthen powers in relation to non-payments and lack of co-operation.
