An exposition and commentry on the Succession (Scotland) Act 1964. The Succession (Scotland) Act 1964 governs most of the law of intestate succession in Scotland. It plays a significant role in the transfer of title to property by the executor and made important changes to the law of wills.
The fifth edition takes account of the of the Requirements of Writing (Scotland) Act 1995 and Children (Scotland) Act 1995, and recent case law. This edition contains even more practical guidance than the previous edition as the annotated 1964 Act is provided in the appendices; and in the narrative the topic of division of intestate estates has been significantly explanded.
