The first HMSO annual catalogue was published in 1920.
In 1996, the publishing arm of the then-existing HMSO was privatised and became The Stationery Office (TSO). TSO published TSO annual catalogues from 1996 until 2022 – they will no longer publish it.
Due to customer demand, we will now publish the Public Information Online Annual Catalogue starting with the 2023 and 2024 editions, they will include a comprehensive listing of Parliamentary Publications from Westminster and the Devolved Assemblies as well as the key non-Parliamentary publications. The catalogue will also feature numerical sequences for different types of materials and an alphabetical index for departments and authors. There will also be a Legislation Index including all Acts, Act ENs, Bills, Bill ENs, Bill Amendments, Public Bill Committees. The Classified Section will organise the papers by corporate author.
