The intellectual skills of analysis,evaluation and synthesis that this book aims to foster are not specific to the study of constitutional and administrative law, but are transferable and once mastered will prove of value in any academic endeavour. This book also attempts to illustrate how a critical awareness of factors that shape the construction and application of law can be integrated into solutions to traditional problems in constitutional and administrative law. In this way, the book seeks to encourage a reflective and evaluative attitude to law that will be of use to the individual as student, lawyer and citizen.
