This work contains a draft code of contract as completed by Harvey McGregor in 1971 for the Law Commission. The work was never published. In its annotated form it is an analysis of both the potential for codification and the strengths, weaknesses and underlying principles of the current common law system.
The Law Commission is looking again at certain areas of contract law, such as the recent consultation paper on privity. This work should be of value to anyone interested in the reform and potential future shape of this wide-ranging area of practice.
