Russian Commercial Law

Since the collapse of socialism, a fairly developed body of commercial law has emerged in Russia. The Civil Code, which sets out the basic rules of private law and accommodates company, property, contract and tort law as well as rules on private international law, has been enacted. The Joint-Stock Company Law, the Law on Limited Liability Companies and Insolvency Law are in place.
