The Review of European Administrative Law, in cooperation with the Department of Administrative Law and Public Administration of the University of Groningen and the Institute of Constitutional and Administrative Law and the Europa Instituut of Utrecht University, held a one-day conference. The aim of it was to give researchers dealing with any aspect of European administrative law the opportunity to present their work (in progress) and to encourage exchange between scholars in the field of European administrative law. The conference was held on 3 June 2009. Theme of the conference was the mutual (top-down and bottom-up) relation of EU administrative law and national administrative law. This volume contains a selection of papers presented at the conference. European Administrative Law, Top Down and Bottom up; Proceedings of the First REALaw Research Forum is also published as the 2009/2 issue of the Review of European Administrative Law.
