The First edition (1892) of the English translation of Professor Sohm's Institutes was based on the Fourth (1889) edition of the German original. The second English edition (1899) based upon the 8th & 9th German editions, both also of 1899.
This current third English edition (1907) is based upon the 12th German edition of 1905.
