Small Claims Handbook 3rd ed

The 3rd edition of this invaluable practitioner guide to the procedures and rules relating to small claims in Scotland incorporates many important changes, effected by the amendment of existing legislation.

The main changes have been made by the Small Claims (Amendment) Order 2007 SI 2007/496 which amended the original Small Claims (Scotland) Order 1988 SI 1988.1999 and took effect on January 14th 2008.

The changes include:-

• Small claims limit increased to £3,000
• Expenses rules amended to cope with new upper limit
• Personal injury claims no longer competent as small claims

The new edition also takes account of new cases.
