A collection of 14 essays by leading figures in the field of human rights and labour law, making a contribution to the subject which is currently the centre of fierce debate and political controversy, with special focus on the current EC Social Charter and the European Convention of Human Rights. Each essay looks at a contemporary issue within a historical context, at the same time addressing future perspectives.
