This work presents an extensive study on the management of medical insurance claims in The Netherlands. With the co-operation of a number of major insurance companies, who made available their detailed records, one third of all insurance claims from a ten-year period could be studied. The research offers a comprehensive insight into the legal, medical and financial aspects of medical insurance claims.
