To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Council of Europe's European Convention on Human Rights - an international legal instrument which guarantees the protection of human rights, and mirrors the further development at universal and at regional levels of human rights standards since 1992, the edition has been revised and updated. It is hoped that this collection of basic texts in the field of human rights will provide all interested circles with a reference book containing the relevant information.
