The judgments of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, on appeals from Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei have contributed not only towards the development of the laws in each of these countries, but also in other countries such as Canada where the Common Law also applies. The Privy Council Cases contains well over 350 judgments. The cases are published in four volumes. For easy access the cases are further classified into sub-headings. Each case contains catchwords, headnotes, tables of cases, legislation and other sources referred to in the judgment. The last volume of the set contains a comprehensive index of subject matter. It also contains an alphabetical table of cases reported, tables of cases and legislation judicially considered, and a bibliography on the Privy Council. The volumes are edited by a team of internationally renowned editors and are an authoritative source of case law that will be of benefit to anyone with an academic or professional interest in the development of the Common Law.
