This volume reflects the late Norman Calder's own interests and contributions. It includes articles by scholars who are already renowned for their approaches to Arabic and Islamic texts. The papers cover a variety of topics of interest to people in the field of Middle Eastern cultures, and are similar in nature to other collections, conference volumes and festschriften.
