This edition includes a number of judgements and the provisions of: the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, the Pensions Act 1995 and the Collective Redundancies and Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1996. In addition, the Employmnent Rights Act 1996 adn the Industrial Tribunals Act 1996, are accounted for. It contains nearly 200 cases, statutes, codes of practice, EC directives and government papers. Extracts are followed by commentary which serves to link, critically discuss and set in context the various extracts.

The first nine chapters focus on individual employment law, with separate chapters on the increasingly important topics of discrimination and equal pay. Collective employment law is dealt with and in the final four chapters on trade unions and industrial action.
