Out Of Print
This is an introductory text for students of law and related business and professional courses, and for those practitioners starting out in property management. Summaries, exercises and workshops concluding each chapter help the reader to make sense of a complex area of law.
This fully revised fourth edition centres initially on the general law of leases, their contractual nature and the interests and obligations which a lease creates. The second part of the book explores the protection afforded to tenants by statute. This includes residential accommodation, as well as agricultural and business lettings.
The Protection from Harassment Act 1997 and other developments are discussed, along with an examination of the consequences of long term legislation implemented in the 1990s, whose effects are only now becoming clear.
