In this multidisciplinary volume, contributors critically assess the different measures designed and implemented by western European democratic governments since the late 1960s in order to counter the challenge of terrorism. The work also analyzes the problems and perspectives surrounding intergovernmental co-operation against such evolving phenomenon, as developed within the framework of the European Union.
