The areas of law dealt with by this book are divided into discrete sections to which the English, French and German approaches are considered. Each sub-topic is introduced with the relevant material in the English system, allowing easy comparison and assimilation of the other systems. The text includes translations of relevant French and German codal material, and references to a wide variety of relevant cases from all the jurisdictions.
The second edition has been brought up to date to cover such matters as the incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights and devolution in the UK, revisions to the Civil Code in Germany and a wide variety of new case law in a rapidly changing world.
