Access to Civil Procedure Abroad

Practising law in any European country requires some understanding of the structure and contents of other systems of civil procedure. This book provides quick and direct access to this procedural law in a large number of EU Member States: England and Wales, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and Italy. The book also deals with private international law, in particular with aspects of jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of judgments. The main part of the book constitutes an exploratory and comparative introduction of the subject, followed by a chapter on private international rules of civil procedure, in which international jurisdiction plays an important part.
