Companies Act 2006: A Guide for Private Companies is a concise and practical guide for private companies, explaining the procedures, obligations and liabilities of complying with the requirements of the Act.

This second edition has been thoroughly updated to take account of changes and issues arising since the Act received Royal Assent. It includes:

• A new chapter covering implementation and transitional provisions, providing commentary on partial implementation and issues arising
• An updated chapter on decisions of directors to take account of the latest drafts of the model articles due to come into force in October 2009

Each chapter contains a separate section summarising the major differences between the new and previous law, and giving the implementation date for that provision. The appendix of commencement dates has also been updated.
