The Structure of Generosity in America

The new federalism of the 1980's, instead of providing greater economic efficiency in social, cultural, educational and health services, has resulted in even greater geographical disparities in the provision of these services. The public sector has become to resemble the locally autonomous, atomistic and fragmented nonprofit sector. This book puts forth policy options for both government and the nonprofit sector.
