This book contains a collection of statutes that is suitable for students studying oil and gas law at all academic stages as well as legal practitioners and academics working in the field.

This is the first volume of the Oil and Gas Law Statute Book and is the first contribution of the Energy Law Series that Dunya Publishing will produce to supplement legal research and practice in energy law. The selection of statutes and provisions is largely focused on upstream oil and gas operations and is tailored to UK oil and gas law academic curricula and practice.

  • The volume excludes provisions are outside the scope of these courses or that are rarely used by legal practitioners.
  • The Petroleum Licensing (Production) (Seaward Areas) Regulations 2008 have been included as they simplify and clarify the model clauses attached to Seaward Area Production Licences issued under the Petroleum Act 1998.
  • The model clauses are commonly used in practice as most of the current offshore licences in the UK hold a licence under the Petroleum Act 1998 regime.
