This volume contains the Proceedings of the 1995 Rotterdam Conference on Non-point source Water Pollution. It is divided into three main parts: the Meuse research project; international and EC aspects of pollution of the River Meuse; and voluntary agreements on pollution reduction in Europe and the USA. During the early 1990s substantial progress has been made in controlling point-source pollution. Environmental experts are now beginning to address problems related to pollution for non-point sources resulting from agricultural, municipal and industrial activities. This text provides an interdisciplinary approach to the topic with an analysis of its technical, legal, economic and political aspects.
